Welcome to Arts on Prescription
AOP is a group of wellbeing practitioners, artists, makers, creatives, and musicians from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences, with a common goal; we believe in a philosophy of Art for All. We provide inclusive art, nature and wellbeing activities from our wheelchair accessible hub Art in the Park in Alexandra Park, Hastings, UK. AOP workshops are also delivered in the wider community and online to people who are housebound or are carers. We have wellbeing advisers in all our sessions. Alexandra Park is famed for its arboretum (tree collection) as one of the best collections of trees in Britain. Many of the large and beautiful trees in the park are regarded as 'champions'.
To enable us to provide free and low cost activities AOP hosts fundraising community engagement events including our annual Easter Picnic, outdoor theatre and music events.
We also host a wide range of activities to the community facilitated by professional artists including; nature walks, talks, printmaking, botanical dyeing, watercolour painting, and more. These sessions run alongside our regular funded programme as stand-alone experiences.

Mondays
Grow Project - 10am-12:30pm
Nature and art, gardening around the green, an educational programme with various art and nature structured activities.

Tuesdays
YOYO Arts Club - 10am-12pm
Yoyo Arts Club has endless inventive creative ideas and nature activities for families. With an outside enclosed green space to explore.

Wednesdays
Wellbeing Wednesdays - 10am-12:30pm
An art program run with wellbeing themes with plenty of scope for a variety of media and expression for adults referred to AOP.
Session cost: £5 including pot-luck lunch / PWYC*
Thursdays
Just Jam - 10am-12pm
Join us for a fun and interactive music session, with guided percussion, rhythm, and song. All instruments are provided and all abilities welcome - just bring yourself! SEN/NEURODIVERSE WELCOME!

Fridays
Print making Workshops Online - 10:30am-12:30pm
Friday Print is a small peer-led group for the printing curious. A Lino printing class with teas and coffees with those of all levels having a chance to learn and share skills.

Get ready to sparkle your way into the festive season with live music, DJs, dancing, tarot readings, prizes, and creative activities for all.
This year, we have moved to a new venue to make the event more accessible and inclusive. As a fundraiser for Arts on Prescription, this celebration supports our work at Art in the Park, our hub in Alexandra Park, where we provide art and nature activities for individuals navigating mental health challenges.
